In our daily work, where sanding and hand-planing antique wood are essential principles, we create exclusive products.

Antique wood on walls transforms a space: it adds visual warmth, reduces heat loss and introduces a texture that no other material can replicate. Brondello Erminio produces reclaimed wood wall coverings that are sanded and planed by hand, following a process that does not involve CNC machinery. Every board is unique in colour, grain and history.

Interior and exterior cladding: residential and contract projects

We work on private homes, mountain houses, offices and contract projects. Our cladding is suitable for interior walls, ceilings, wall panelling and protected exterior façades. The wood species we use most frequently are chestnut, larch and Norway spruce from the valleys of Cuneo, treated to withstand moisture and temperature fluctuations. Upon request, we apply waterproofing treatments that preserve the raw appearance of antique wood.

Insulation and sustainability

Wood is a natural insulator: in terms of thermal resistance, a 3 cm layer is equivalent to approximately 12 cm of concrete. Our cladding contributes to the building’s energy efficiency without the use of synthetic materials. The entire supply chain is PEFC-certified: the wood is sourced within a radius of less than 30 km from our sawmill in Borgo San Dalmazzo, Cuneo.
